The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) wishes to replace two bridges in Candler County, Georgia (Figure 1).

In October and November 2001, TRC conducted archaeological data recovery excavations at 9CL269 and 9CL270 located in Carroll County, Georgia. The investigations were undertaken on behalf of Carroll County Water Authority in advance of the construction of H.C.

From December 1, 1999 to May 15, 2000, Panamerican Consultants, Inc. (PCI) conducted an intensive archaeological survey of 9,994 ac. (4,043 ha) within Fort Stewart Military Reservation, Bryan and Liberty counties, Georgia.

A Phase I cultural resources survey of the proposed 253 hectare reservoir site and buffer zone in south Fulton County, Georgia was conducted to locate and identify cultural resources within the project area and assess resource significance.

In the Summer of 2002, Panamerican Consultants, Inc., conducted a series of Phase II archaeological investigations at 19 sites within Fort Benning Military Reservation.

Panamerican Consultants, Inc. (PCI) conducted an archaeological pedestrian survey of 9,892 acres from August 16, 1999 to December 13, 1999 and from March 22, 2000 to April 5, 2000. The investigation represents the product of a contract with the National Park Service and Fort Stewart.

In April, May, June, July, and September of 2000, and February 2001, TRC Garrow Associates, Inc., performed archaeological testing of 40 sites at Fort Stewart in southeastern Georgia to evaluate their eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

This report presents the results of archeological and architectural reconnaissance survey for a site under consideration for an outlying airfield.

On 1 October 2002, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for a proposed bridge replacement in Macon and Dooly County, Georgia. This survey was conducted for The LPA Group, Inc.
