Panamerican Consultants, Inc., archaeologically surveyed 283.4 hectares (ha), or 700 acres (ac), within Ft. Benning Military Reservation where it exists in Chattahoochee County, Georgia. The fieldwork took place between January 31 and February 16, 1994.

In November of 1979, the Columbus (Georgia) Water Works contracted with Frank T. Schnell, Archeologist, to conduct a cultural resource assessment of sections of the right bank of Bull Creek and the left bank of Flat Rock Branch.
