Report Abstracts

This is an Archaeological Survey of New Griffin Area Office in Spalding County. The proposed project would construct a new Georgia Department of Transportation Area Office, approximately five miles east of the town of Griffin, Georgia.

This is a GDOT report short form for a Phase I Archaeological Survey of the Bass Road Corridor in Bibb County, Georgia. The project consists of a Phase I archaeological survey of approximately 3,300 linear feet along Bass Road between the I-75 and Beaverdam Creek.

This is a GDOT report short form for negative findings for a Phase I Archaeological Survey of Two Intersection Improvement Locations in North Fulton County, Georgia.

The proposed project would replace the bridge on existing alignment. The proposed bridge would be approximately 360 ft long and 44 ft wide and accommodate two 12-ft travel lanes with 10-ft shoulders.

The proposed project would construct five passing lanes on SR 36 between the towns of Jackson and Stewart in Butts County. The proposed project would retain the existing pavement and widen the roadway with a 12' lane for passing.

On June 13, 2005 the Georgia Department of Transportation conducted a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey at the request of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Historic Preservation Division. Two GPR survey grids were placed on top of Mound A at Kolomoki State Park(Figure 1).

The project consisted of a Phase I intensive archaeological survey of approximately 600 feet of new alignment along SR/120, between Buford Highway and Hill Street, Duluth, Georgia. The project includes the installation of a traffic light at the proposed intersection of SR 120 and Main Street.

The project consisted of a Phase I intensive archaeological survey of approximately 1,200 feet of new alignment extending Davenport Road from the southern end of Hill Street to Buford Highway.
