The proposed project would widen and reconstruct SR 142 from I-20 to just north of the SR 142/CR 74 intersection in Newton County. Existing right-of-way is approximately 130 feet. Approximately 3000 feet east and 3000 feet west of SR 142 on Alcovy Road will be widened also.
