The proposed project would widen a 13 mile section of US 1/SR4 in Toombs and Emanuel Counties. The project corridor begins at the northern city limits of Lyons and extends north to the intersection of US 1/SR4 and 1-16. Existing right-of-way on US 1/SR4 is 100 feet.

This project proposes to replace the structurally deficient bridge on CR 85/Kimball Bridge Road over Big Creek with a new 80 x 44 ft. concrete bridge approximately 50 feet south of the existing structure. Maximum right-of-way will vary up to approximately 180 feet.

The proposed project would replace the structurally deficient bridge on CR 143/County Line Road over Polecat Creek in Gordon/Murray Counties. The existing bridge would be replaced with a 80' x 28' structure approximately 100 feet south of the current alignment.

In July and August of 2008 Southeastern Archeological Services conducted a Phase I archeological survey of three parcels of land (Tax Parcels 10-4-0020, I0-4-002A, 10-2-005) near the crossing of Newton Bridge Road over the North Oconee River on the north side of Athens-Clarke County.

This report presents the findings of the Phase I Archaeological Survey of the West Segment of the expansion and realignment of SR 96 in the vicinity of the City of Bonaire, Houston County, Georgia (P.I. No. 322450).

During the period of February 11 through March 5, 2002, R.S. Webb & Associates (RSWA) conducted background research for and a delineation of the Patrick Cemetery. The cemetery is located south of State Route (SR) 16 in Spalding County, Georgia.

An intensive archaeological resources survey was carried out for the proposed South Covington Substation and Transmission Line in Newton County, Georgia.

An intensive archaeological resources survey was carried out for the proposed North Burton US Highway 76 Substation in Rabun County, Georgia. The project was carried out in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act by personnel qualified under 36 CFR Part 61.

During May 2008, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed improvements to the Acworth Due West Road in Cobb County, Georgia.

R.S. Webb & Associates conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey of the proposed Riverbrook Village Development Tract in Hall County, Georgia, on May 7 and 8, 2008. The project area is an 83-acre tract located on the northwest side of the intersection of Highways 60 and 136.
