Soapstone Ridge is a geological entity situated in southern DeKalb County, Georgia. Numerous Archaic steatite quarry and workshop sites have been located on the Ridge. Interstate 675 is being proposed to follow an existing developed transportation corridor north-south across the Ridge.

The proposed project consists of the reconstruction of the existing interchange at 1-75 and State Route 37 in Adel. The proposed reconstruction would consist of the replacement of the existing bridge over 1-75 and improvements to the existing interchange ramps.

Project NH-75-1(206) includes the widening and reconstruction of 1-75 from four lanes (two lanes in each direction) to six lanes (three lanes in each direction) from just north of CR 246/Kinard Bridge Road interchange in Cook County to the Cook/Tift County line, a total of 3.79 mile.

The proposed project consists of the replacement of the existing bridge over Giddens Mill Creek located on US 41/SR 7, in Adel, Georgia. The existing 72' x 24' concrete/steel bridge will be replaced with a 100' x 44' concrete bridge on existing alignment.
