6255 Archaeological Survey of Cobb-Fulton Counties; Camp Creek Interceptor Sewer and Flint River Treatment Plant

A total of thirteen archeological sites were investigated, twelve of which were heretofore unrecorded. Of the thirteen, eleven were associated with prehistoric occupations and two had evidence of late historic occupation.

The proposed project consists of the widening and reconstruction of US 341/SR 27. This 0.87 mile project begins at Crispen Boulevard and ends approximately 500 feet beyond Glynndale Drive in Brunswick. The existing right-of-way is 100 feet; the required right-of-way would be 120 feet.

Project GIP-341(27) proposes to would widen US 341 from the Wayne/Glynn County line to CR 432. Existing right-of-way varies from 100 to 200 feet; an additional 34 to 84 feet of right-of-way would be required. Total project length is approximately 2.98 miles.

This project proposes the widening of U.S. 17/SR 25 from a point just south of Gloucester Street to SR 25 spur. The project consists of widening the existing facility on the east side to 3 twelve foot lanes with a twenty foot median. The total project length is approximately six miles.
