Report Abstracts

A total of thirteen archeological sites were investigated, twelve of which were heretofore unrecorded. Of the thirteen, eleven were associated with prehistoric occupations and two had evidence of late historic occupation.

The proposed project would consist of the connection of the water system of Safety Rest Area 105 (located along I--95) to the water system of Glynn County. The new water main would run south of an existing sewer line ana extend from Jetport Road westerly to 1-95.

The proposed project consists of the replacement of the bridqe on CR 586 over Burnett Creek 15.61 km northwest of the city Brunswick. The project would begin approximately 143 m (471.9 ft) west of Burnett Creek and would end approximately 143 m (471.9 ft) east of Burnett Creek.

The proposed project would reconstruct and widen Community Road/New Community Road and Cypress Mill Road in Brunswick. The project would begin at the intersection of Community Road and U.S.

The proposed projects would reconstruct and widen Community Road/New Community Road and Cypress Mill Road in Brunswick. In addition a bridge would be constructed on Community Road over the CSX Railroad.

The proposed project consists of the widening and reconstruction of US 341/SR 27. This 0.87 mile project begins at Crispen Boulevard and ends approximately 500 feet beyond Glynndale Drive in Brunswick. The existing right-of-way is 100 feet; the required right-of-way would be 120 feet.

The proposed project would replace the existing Sidney Lanier Bridge across the Brunswick River in Brunswick, Georgia.

Project GIP-341(27) proposes to would widen US 341 from the Wayne/Glynn County line to CR 432. Existing right-of-way varies from 100 to 200 feet; an additional 34 to 84 feet of right-of-way would be required. Total project length is approximately 2.98 miles.

This project proposes the widening of U.S. 17/SR 25 from a point just south of Gloucester Street to SR 25 spur. The project consists of widening the existing facility on the east side to 3 twelve foot lanes with a twenty foot median. The total project length is approximately six miles.

The proposed projects would reconstruct and widen US17/SR25 southwest of Brunswick. The projects as proposed would begin at a point just east of the 1-95 interchange then would extend easterly along US17/SR25 to the four lane section at the Jekyll Island Causeway.
