During late July 1989, archaeological exploration and mitigation work was conducted on the site of the proposed Jek:yll Island Club Hotel Annex. This work was mandated because the site was within a National Reigster District and had been previously identified as an archaeological site.

TRC conducted a combined Phase I survey and Phase II testing project on four tracts inside the Jekyll Island Historic District (ca. 1886-1945) in advance of proposed landscape, parking lot, and roadway improvements.

The proposed project would replace the existing structurally deficient bridge on CR 78 over Burnett Creek, located approximately three miles northwest of the City of Brunswick, in Glynn County. The bridge would be built on existing alignment with an offsite detour using local roads.

The proposed project would replace the bridge on SR 177 over Sweetwater Creek. The new bridge would be constructed on the existing alignment. The existing right-of-way is approximately 30.5 m (100 ft).

The proposed project would consist of the leveling and resurfacing of US 84. Also included in this project would be the paving of the existing 0.6 m (2 ft) shoulders. The project would begin approximately 0.3 km (0.2 mi) east of CR 207 and would end at the Clinch/Ware County line.

The proposed project would widen SR 38 from the west city limits of Homerville to approximately 300 feet west of Woodyard Creek. In addition, a 48 foot by 50 foot concrete bridge would be built on the new alignment to span Tatum Creek. Total distance for this section is 1.80 miles.

The proposed project would consist of the paving of 0.6 m (2 ft) shoulderss of SR 187 in Clinch County. The proposed project would begin at the northeast end of the bridge over Suwannoochee Creek (MP 0.11) and would end at the pavement joint (MP 10.47) north of CR 40.
