Report Abstracts

This Phase I survey was performed for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in October and November 1995, by Woodward-Clyde Federal Services (WC) under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, PL93-266, as amended.

In May 1990, Messrs. Robert S. Webb, Brian Gumbert, and John Doolin conducted a cultural resources survey of approximately 108 hectares (268 acres) in Henry County, Georgia for the Henry County Water and Sewage Authority.

This report documents the results of the cultural resources survey of Tribble & Richardson's proposed wastewater treatment plant for the City of Hawkinsville, Pulaski County, Georgia. The survey recorded three isolates and three archaeological sites.

In June 1988, and October/November 1989 Webb Diversified Consulting conducted an intensive coverage cultural resource survey of approximately hectares (330 acres) in Dawson and Cherokee Counties, Georgia.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, projects MR-7024(1 & 2) and IR-20-2(108), Columbia/Richmond Counties has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the Natio

Project NH-017-2(53) would add a center turn lane to US 27/SR 1 Polk County. The proposed project would begin at Hillside continue northeasterly to an end point just north of Frances Drive.

This project would widen and extend Belair Road from S.R. 104/Washington Road in Columbia County to S.R. 10/Gordon Highway in Richmond County. The project would be approximately seven mile long on a proposed right-of-way of 84 to 200 feet. A survey consistent with this corridor was performed.

During the period of January 3 through November 20, 1995, R.S. Webb & Associates conducted archeological data recovery excavations at two prehistoric rock shelters (Sites 9DW64, 9DW77) and one lithic workshop/camp (Site 9CK713).

Project NH-20-2(137), Richmond-Columbia Counties, consists of the construction of a new interchange on I-20 at Wheeler Road and improvements to Wheeler Road and I-20.

A section of the proposed alignment has been shifted to the west. Beginning approximately 330 feet west of the proposed roundabout at McFarland Lane and SR 372/Birmingham Highway, the proposed alignment would shift to the west a maximum of 229 feet, measured centerline to centerline.
