Report Abstracts

From 6 to 7 July 2004, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an intensive archaeological resources survey of the proposed Snipesville Substation in Jeff Davis County, Georgia. The survey tract consisted of approximately 9 acres along County Road 90, southwest of Denton, Georgia.

In May and June, 2006, Brockington and Associates, Inc., carried out a Phase I Cultural Resources Survey of the Vallambrosa Plantation Development, in Chatham County, Georgia (Figure 1).

The proposed project consists of the widening and the addition of turning lanes on SR 53 in the city of Calhoun. The project will begin approximately 221 m (725 ft) west of CS 814/W.C. Bryant Parkway at West May Street.

The proposed project consists of resurfacing on SR 61 in Gordon-Murray Counties. The project begins at mile post 11.85 in Gordon County and continues northerly to an end point at mile post 6.72 in Murray County for a total of 13.4 kilometers (8.30 miles).

The proposed project would improve parking areas and upgrade restroom facilities at State Rest Area #34 between Resaca and Calhoun in Gordon County. All construction will be undertaken within existing right-of-way, no additional right-of-way would be required.
