Project IM-75-3(189) would reconstruct the 1-75 bridges over SR 156/Redbud Road in Gordon County. This project has been subjected to two previous archaeological surveys, the first was done in December 1995 and the second in November 1999 both by Eric Anthony Duff (HP# HP991123-002).

Originally the proposed project was to widen SR 53 in Gordon County from west of W.C. Bryant Parkway to just east of SR 3/US 41. The reevaluation survey was concerned with the proposed extension of the SR 53 widening from SR 3/US 41 to I-75.

The proposed project would replace the bridge and approaches over Salacoa Creek on Knight Bottom Road, CR 233, in Gordon County. The proposed project originally began 650 feet south of Salacoa Creek and ended approximately 650 feet north of the creek.

Project IM-75-3(189) would reconstruct the I-75 bridges over SR 156 in Gordon County. The project also includes minor widening on SR 156 adjacent to I-75. The proposed project on I-75 would begin 0.1 mile south and end 0.1 mile north of the existing SR 156 bridge over I-75.
