The area to be effected by the proposed bridge construction was surveyed on foot. No features or artifacts of interest were evident. The bridge construction will apparently harm no historic prehistoric sites. No further investigation is recommended.

The following report describes a cultural resource survey of the proposed route of U.S. Forest Service Road Number 1082, scheduled for construction during 1977. The proposed road is located in compartment 158 of the Oconee National Forest.
