The proposed project would widen the existing bridge on S.R. 53 over the CSX Railroad in Fairmont. In addition, a center turn lane would be constructed at the intersection of S.R. 53 and S.R. 61/ U.S. 411. Existing right-of-way is approximately 100 feet.

The proposed project would reconstruct the I-75/SR53 interchange in Calhoun, Georgia. The proposed project would begin west of I-75 at Lovers Lane then would extend easterly along SR53 to Curtis Parkway for a distance of 0.5 miles.
