Background

Test excavations were conducted at the Farmer’s Bottom site in March 2014. The initial occupation at this site was during the Middle Woodland Cartersville period, 100 B.C. to A.D. 550. A second occupation occurred at the site during the Early Mississippian Etowah period, A.D. 900-1200.

Under contract with Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co., Brockington and Associates, Inc. performed an intensive cultural resources survey (Phase I) within the proposed Liberty County Industrial Park development (East Tract).

A Phase I intensive archaeological resources survey was conducted for the Danville - North Dudley 115kV Transmission Line Corridor in Laurens, Twiggs, and Wilkinson Counties, Georgia.

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the undertaking at the subject site.

Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted archaeological data recovery at site 9ME292 in Muscogee County, Georgia, between 24 September and 19 October 2001. The excavation team consisted of the principal investigator and six field technicians.

The proposed project would consist of the replacement of the bridge on State Route 47 over Little River (J. Strom Thurmond Lake). The project would begin at approximately Mile Post (MP) 16.25 in Lincoln County and end at approximately MP 0.85 in Columbia County.

The Heritage Program of the United States Forest Service is tasked with managing the cultural resources located on National Forest lands. In order to better manage the exceptional examples of cultural resources, the agency established the category of Priority Heritage Assets (PHAs).

The proposed project would convert the diamond interchange at CR 665/Carbondale Road and I- 75 into a series of three roundabouts, one at the I-75 northbound ramps, one at the I-75 southbound ramps, and one at the US 41/SR 3 intersection with CR 665/Carbondale Road.

R. S. Webb & Associates (RSWA) conducted chain-of-title research on the Thompson Estates project tract at the Cobb County Courthouse on January 5, 2006. The results are presented below.
