Report Abstracts

Five sites, 9Ef97, 9Ef101, 9Ef134, 9Ef138, and 9Ef141, were recommended for testing because they were believed to contain potentially significant prehistoric components. One additional site, 9Ef137, yielded relatively abundant prehistoric remains and will also be discussed in this section.

Greenhouse Consultants incorporated was retained by Cushman Enterprises, LLC to undertake a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed expansion of Richmond Hill Elementary School in Bryan County, Georgia.

This letter-report is provided in response to concerns expressed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Historic Preservation Division, dated May 21, 2004.

On May 21, 1994 Dave Davis of this office conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of two areas slated for the construction of electrical service at Tugaloo State Park, Franklin County, Georgia. He was assisted by Assistant Manager Matt Griffin.

The purpose of this Phase I investigation was to determine the presence or absence of prehistoric and historic cultural resources within the approximately 150-acre parcel of the proposed Satilla Landing residential development in Woodbine, Camden County, Georgia by Land Resource Companies, LLC.

An archaeological reconnaissance of the proposed Pine Log Tributary Watershed in Gordon County, Georgia, was conducted at intervals between March 8 and March 16, 1976.

On November 17, 1993 Dave Davis of this office conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed residence at Victoria Bryant State Park, Franklin county, Georgia. Davis was assisted by Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Utility Technician Ramone Nieto and Greenskeeper Pete Brown.

On June 14, 1993, Brandon Higginbotham and Allen Freeman of this office conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed nature trail on the Oconee Wildlife Management Area in Putnam County, Georgia.

Brunswick Harbor is a naturally protected deepwater port adjacent to the city of Brunswick, Georgia. Currently, there are some thirty miles of deepwater frontage extending from the Bar c crossing in the Atlantic Ocean to the Allied Chemical Wharf on Turtle River.
