Report Abstracts

This is a bridge project, BRZLB-227(10), located in Pickens County. The bridge is on CR 98 and crosses Sharp Mountain Creek. The existing structure has a wooden deck, steel stringers, and iron hand rails. It measures to 30 feet long and 12.3 feet wide. The existing ROW is 40 feet.

This is a bridge project, SR-0630(6), located in Bryan County. The bridge is on SR 144 and crosses Sterling Creek. The existing structure is 5 lines of 48 inch concrete pipe with concrete endwalls and wingwalls. The existing ROW is 80 feet.

This is a bridge project, BRS-2862(2), located in Fannin County. The bridge is on SR 60 and crosses Hemptown Creek. The existing structure is 300 feet long and 23.8 feet wide and has a concrete deck. The existing ROW is 150 feet.

M-4110(1), Bulloch County is the widening of a .2 mile section of Tillman Road in Statesboro. This section is located between State Routes 73 and 67. The present right-of-way is 50 feet wide but with the proposed work this will be increased to 100 feet.

The proposed project would improve the existing railroad grade crossing at the intersection of Jaybird-Helena Road/CR 227 over the Norfolk Southern Railway near the City of Chauncey, Georgia in Dodge County.

Archeological Assessment of a Monroe County Resurfacing Project. This project consists of milling, leveling, resurfacing, and shoulder building on SR 42 beginning at M.P. 14.58 and ending at the Butts County Line. AJI work will take place within the existing right-of-way.

This is a bridge project, BRF-027-3(13), located in Stewart County. The bridge is on US 27/ SR 1 and crosses Hoochodkee Creek. The existing structure is 160 feet long and 23.8 feet wide. The existing ROW is 100 feet.

Bridge over Little Red Bluff, Red Bluff, and Mercer Creek. Some wetland involvement, some archaeological sites (they were disturbed, not significant).

Archaeological Assessment of Project NHS-M001-00(087), McDuffie and Columbia Counties, Milling, removing and replacing the outside concrete lane, resurfacing the inside lane and adding 2 foot shoulders along guardrail sections, to include removal of vegetation from clear zones along Interstate 20

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project FR- 065-3(35), Hall County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
