Project 1-85-1(52)00, Harris; C.C.N. 77- 07- 25-28 involves the construction of a rest stop and tourist information center on a parcel of land south of the eastbound lane of 1-85 just east of the Alabama-Georgia State line.

The proposed project would begin from approximately 150m (492 ft) south of the North Fork Broad River to approximately 150m (492 ft) north of the North Fork Broad River.

The above referenced 300 x 200 foot borrow area, located in the Tall Pines subdivision, south of 1st Avenue, in Albany, Georgia, has been field reviewed by Lamar Frazier, District 4 Materials Engineer.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, BRZLB-3268(1), Bibb County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
