The proposed project would reconstruct and widen SR 16/US 27 north of Newnan. The project would begin at a point approximately 121.9 meters (400 feet) south of Evans Drive/CR 677 then extend northerly along SR 16/US 27 to a point approximately 182.8 meters (600 feet) north of the Newnan Bypass.

The proposed project would widen and reconstruct SR 54 beginning near SR 34 in Coweta County and extending eastwards to SR 74 in Peachtree City in Fayette County. The project length is approximately 2.25 miles and an additional 10 to 40 feet of right-of-way would be required.

Project NH-022-1(23) consists of the widening of the intersection of SR 16 and SR 54 between Sharpsburg and Turin in eastern Coweta County to add turn lanes. The existing right-of-way on SR 16 is 30.48 m (100 ft) . The existing right-of-way on SR 54 is 24.38 m (80 ft).
