Blanton and Reed (1987) identified 29 "occurrences" (0.1 through 0.9 and 0.11 through 0.30) during their extensive archeological survey on Robins Air Force Base (AFB); however, their report did not make clear whether these were merely isolated finds or actual archeological sites.

Data recovery excavations were conducted at 9HY95, 9HY98, and 9HY104 in the autumn of 1996. The three prehistoric sites faced potential adverse effects related to the construction of the proposed Shoal Creek Reservoir.

On April 17 and 29, 1998, New South Associates conducted field work for the archaeological survey of alternate segments for the Thomson Bypass. These segments, totaling approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km) of new alignment, will accomplish the straightening of curves along the bypass.

The proposed project consists of the construction of a 0.60 m (2 ft) paved shoulders along SR 42 in Crawford and Monroe Counties. The project would begin at the intersection of SR 7 (MP 20.98) in Crawford County and would end at the intersection of SR 74 (MP 2.10) in Monroe County.

Project PR-37-1(079) in Crawford County allows for grading, drainage, base and surfacing on CR 37 (Cool Springs Church Road) for approximately 2.2 kilometers (1.37 miles). The proposed project on CR 37 would begin at SR 7/US 341 then continue northerly to an end point at CR 52.

Project PR-103(079) involves the grading, base, and paving of CR 103. The project would begin at the intersection of CR 163 and end at a point approximately 3.04 km (1.89 mi) north of the beginning intersection. Existing right-of-way is approximately 6.1 m (20 ft).
