Report Abstracts

This report documents historical and archaeological investigations undertaken by Soil Systems, Inc. on the site of the extinct town of Wrightsboro, Georgia.

The archaeological studies in Darien were required in order to mitigate the construction impacts of the federally funded waste water treatment system.

New South Associates, Inc. conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey along a proposed sewer line corridor at the Georgia Northwestern Technical College in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey of approximately seven acres for the location of a recreational trail within the Battle of Brown's Mill historic site. Thirty-six shovel test pit locations were investigated at a 30-meter (100-ft.) interval.

Under a continuing services contract with the U.S. Army Infantry Center, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division, Fort Benning Military Reservation, Panamerican Consultants, Inc. (PCI) conducted a Phase III archaeological mitigation of Site 9CEI98.

Under a continuing services contract with the U.S. Army Infantry Center, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division, Fort Benning Military Reservation, Panamerican Consultants, Inc. (PCI) conducted a series of Phase III archaeological mitigations at four sites within the reservation.

Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc., conducted an intensive archaeological survey and testing of the proposed location for the Floydtown 115/25 kV substation in Miller County, Georgia. The proposed substation site encompasses approximately 5.2 acres.

Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. conducted a phase one archaeological survey for the proposed Elim Church Road Substation in Long County, Georgia. The proposed substation will be located approximately 4.25 miles northeast of Ludowici, Georgia (Figure 1).

Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. Conducted a phase one archaeological survey for the proposed expansion of the Sugar Creek Substation in Telfair County, Georgia. The proposed substation will be located south of McRae, Georgia (Figure 1).
