Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. conducted a phase one archaeological survey for the proposed Holt Substation in Irwin County, Georgia. The proposed substation will be located 13 km (eight miles) east of Ocilla, Georgia (Figure 1).

This letter is our report of findings for an archeological survey we conducted on an approximately 2-ac tract of land upon which Georgia Transmission Corporation wishes to construct the above-referenced substation.
