Report Abstracts

A cultural resources survey of 113.58 acres was conducted near Rincon, Effingham County, Georgia, during March and April 1986. The survey covered the proposed location of a 201 facility for the town of Rincon. This survey encountered three sites.

In May 2005, TRC conducted Phase I cultural resource investigations within the Area of Potential Effects (APE) for a 101-acre tract in Gwinnett County, Georgia (Figure 1). Archaeological and historic architecture surveys were included in the study.

The proposed project consists of the widening and reconstruction of Buena Vista Road in Columbus. The project begins at the intersection of Buena Vista Road and Wynnton Road and ends at the intersection of Buena Vista Road and Illges Road.

The proposed project consists of the widening and reconstruction of St. Mary's Road (City Street 2108) in Columbus. The project begins at the intersection with Buena Vista Road and ends at the intersection of Robin Road.

The proposed project consists of the realignment of the intersection of SR 203 and CR 309 in Pierce County, Georgia. This project proposes to eliminate the substandard curve at the SR 203/CR 309 intersection.

The proposed project consists of the reconstruction and realignment of the intersection of SR 11 and CR 362 in Monticello, Georgia. Currently, SR 11 intersects CR 362 at a skewed alignment.

This project proposes to relocate Miller Road from Milgen Road to Moon Road in Columbus. A corridor 1.5 miles long and 150 feet wide was surveyed f or the entire project.

Project STP-065-2(17) would add an eastbound and westbound passing lane on SR 53 in Pickens County. Symmetrical widening on the eastbound passing lane would begin on SR 53 at mile post 7.25 then continue easterly to an end point at mile post 8.4.

Project FR-178-1(33) begins just west of the Cedartown Bypass at the intersection of us 278/SR 6 and Woodall Road and extends easterly for approximately 4.6 miles, ending at the intersection of us 278/SR 6 and Old Cedartown Road.

GDOT project MLP-943(1) proposes to construct a connector road east of Monticello from the intersection of SR 16 and SR 3 80 northwesterly on new location to intersect SR 83.
