New South Associates, Inc. conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey for a portion of SR 39 between CR 99 and CR 71 in Seminole County, Georgia, to determine whether any archaeological resources were present in the project's Area of Potential Effect (APE).

The proposed project would consist of the extension of the existing bridge culvert located approximately 7.2 krn (4.7 mi) south of Cedartown on SR 1/US 27. The existing right-of-way is approximately 30.5 m (100 ft).

On September 16 and 17, 2002, four staff archaeologists from the Georgia Department of Transportation conducted an archaeological survey of three access roads for the Chatham County Economic Development Site.

On February 15, 2000, staff archaeologists from the Georgia Department of Transportation conducted an archaeological survey a portion of State Route 88 in Washington County, Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Transportation proposes improvements to State Route (SR) 52 in Hall County (Project STP00-1238-00[007], PI Number 132250).

Over the past five years (Spring 1976 - Spring 1981) archaeological investigations were conducted intermittently on Georgia Department of Transportation Project #APD-056-2(7): the Ellijay to Blue Ridge Mainline in Gilmer/Fannin Counties, Georgia.

The Georgia State Archaeological Site File number for the Track Rock Gap petroglyphs is 9UN361. The site file number for the nearby stone feature complex, above and the southeast of the petroglyph site is 9UN367 (note that in this report “stone” and “rock” are synonymous).

In September and October of 2001, Southern Research conducted data recovery at Site 9ME348 for the City of Columbus, Georgia under contract with Jordan, Jones, and Goulding, Inc.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey for the Galilee Church Road improvements in Jackson County, Georgia, under subcontract to Moreland Altobelli Associates, Inc.

GDOT project STP-HPP-178-1(34) in Polk County would consist of the widening and reconstruction of US 278 from an existing two lane road into a four lane road from Old Cedartown Road east to tie in to the Nathan Dean Bypass at Rockmart. The project was originally surveyed in 1991 and 1996.
