Report Abstracts

A cultural resource survey was performed in Hinesville, Georgia, on June 26 and 27 and July 3, 1990 as part of an 801 family housing project for Fort Stewart personnel. The project area covers approximately 22.25 ha (55 acres). Two isolated artifacts and one site were located.

Survey Sites 1, 2, 4, and 5 in the proposed Ronald Reagan Expressway Corridor were tested. Archaeological testing procedures varied in accordance with two general site types: historic sites with standing structures (Sites 1 and 2); and subsurface prehistoric sites (Sites 4 and 5).

A cultural resources survey of the proposed Gwinnett Cross County Connector was conducted by Garrow & Associates, Inc. from October 26 through October 30, 1987.

On June 21, 1989, Robert S. Webb conducted an intensive coverage cultural resources survey of the proposed Lake Arrowhead 115/12 kV substation site in Cherokee County, Georgia. The site covers 3.4 hectares (8.5 acres).
