This report covers the Cultural Resource Survey of a 206-acre tract in northwestern Towns County, just south of Lake Chattooga near the power station. The terrain was heavily wooded, extremely steep and very rocky.

This report covers the Cultural Resource Survey of an 11-acre tract in northwestern Stephens County near the intersection of Highway 123 and the Southern Railway crossing.

A Cultural Resource Survey was conducted October 5-8, 1981, on a 480-acre National Forest tract in Stephens County, Georgia. The survey revealed one Archaic lithic scatter and four recent Historic Period house sites, all heavily disturbed.

The survey of these roads on the southwestern side of Taylor Ridge found no sites on the rights-of-way, but two19th-20th Century house sites were nearby. Neither one had standing structures.

Following a 1977 cultural resource survey of Tract A-3196 on the Armuchee Ranger District, a prehistoric lithic scatter, called Silver Hill Site F (Ga #9Cg8) was recommended for further testing to determine eligibility for nomination to the National Register.

This cultural resources survey conducted in July and December 1982, covered the 281-acre Chenocetah Mountain tract of National Forest land southeast of Cornelia, GA, offered for exchange.

A Cultural Resource Survey was conducted on a 0.9-acre parcel proposed for a land exchange with John and Martha Shook in Chattooga County, Georgia, on May 17, 1982. An additional 0.9-acre area adjacent to was also examined at the same time.

A 100-acre tract of Oconee National Forest in southern Jasper County was surveyed in March 1978 by K.A. Schneider for possible exchange. No significant sites were found on this previously farmed lower Piedmont tract, and clearance for the exchange was recommended.
