A cultural resources survey was conducted on a 40-acre tract of National Forest proposed for exchange. The parcel was an old Resettlement Administration tract, just off Georgia 16, 5 miles east of Monticello.

This reports covers two cultural resources surveys totaling 189 acres on the Hitchiti Experimental Forest in northwestern Jones, County Georgia. The location is approximately 15 miles north of Macon, near the Ocmulgee River.

This report covers cultural resources investigation prior to proposed construction of a third water tower and additional water pipeline for buildings on U.S. Army Camp Frank C. Merrill, in Lumpkin County, north of Dahlonega.

Cultural resource surveys were conducted on the Brasstown Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest, Towns and Union Counties, Georgia during fiscal year 1988. They were done prior to timber sales, road constructions, wildlife openings, and on a new office site.

A cultural resources survey of proposed relocation route of Tallulah River Road (F.R. 70) was conducted in northwest Rabun County in September and October, 1988. The road change was designed to bypass the USFS Tallulah River Recreation Area campground.

Cultural resources surveys were conducted on two tracts of National Forest land prior to proposed Forest Service activities: a land exchange and a road construction project. The exchange parcel is located in northeast Habersham County, near the Turnervlle community, and contains 27 acres.

Cultural resources surveys were conducted in 1988 on three parcels of National Forest land prior to proposed land exchanges with the private sector. The parcels were located in Lumpkin, White and Stephens counties, on mostly steeply sloping land, which was heavily eroded.
