A cultural resources survey was conducted by the author on 60 acres of National Forest land proposed for use by the U.S. Army as a landfill for the Army's Ranger training center at Camp Merrill, in northern Lumpkin County Georgia.

A cultural resources survey was conducted by the authors prior to a proposed land exchange involving 1245 acres of National Forest land in Oglethorpe County, in the Georgia Piedmont.

A cultural resources report was conducted in September, 1985, on 569 acres of National Forest land in northeast Greene County, Georgia, proposed for exchange with the Georgia Kraft Company.

This survey in April 1983 covered a 95-acre National Forest tract on the Jasper-Jones county line in north-central Georgia, which was proposed for exchange to John Dumas. Long used as farmland, it was covered in pines with several hardwood inclusions.

A cultural resources survey was conducted in December 1985 by the author on 35 acres of National Forest property on Lake Nottely, known as the Deaverstown tract, prior to a land transfer from the U.S. Forest Service to the Tennessee Valley Authority.

A Cultural resources survey was conducted in June, 1985P with follow-ups in January and March 1986. A total of 2724 acres of National Forest land were surveyed in Whitfield and Walker Counties, northwest Georgia which were designated an Off-Roads Vehicle (ORV) recreation area.

This cultural resources survey report covers 764 acres of Oconee National Forest land offered for exchange with two private land owners, Eugene Kelly and T.H. Resseau, Jr. It was in four parcels three of which are reported here; the other was reported in 1978.

A series of cultural resources surveys were conducted on the Tallulah Ranger District Chattahoochee National Forest during the fiscal year 1986, preparatory to various Forest Service undertakings, such as proposed land exchanges, road constructions, timber sales, and wildlife openings.

On December 22, 1986, cultural resources surveys were conducted on two small project locations on the Tallulah Ranger District, at the request, and with assistance of Assistant Ranger Marisue Hilliard.

Cultural resources surveys were conducted on the Chattooga Ranger District Chattahoochee National Forest in Habersham, Stephens, White and Banks counties in northeast Georgia.
