The Oconee District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest plans to build a 7 acre shooting range in the southwestern comer of Putnam County, Georgia. The project is located in Compartment 141, Stands 4 and 9, on a northeast facing slope above Rock Creek.

Approximately 1.96 miles of Tucker Road was subjected to Phase I Archaeological Survey by New South Associates on January 26, 1999. The survey studied the portion of Tucker Road lying between Foster and Rivoli Roads in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.

On September 18 and 22, 1998, New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Octagon Road Corridor in Henry County, Georgia. The study corridor consists of approximately 2.9 km (1.8 miles) on new location with a 91 meter (300 feet) width.
