The Georgia Department of Transportation is intending to widen a 15.8 km (9.8 mi) section of U.S. Highway l/State Route 4 extending south from Swainsboro, the county seat of Emanuel County, to Interstate Highway 16 in the southern portion of the county.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of seven posed intersection improvements in Fulton County on September 24, 1998.

In early March, 1999 Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc.

TRC conducted a Phase I archaeological survey prior to the construction of the proposed Sterling Cove subdivision in Bryan County, Georgia. The property is located near the confluence of the Ogeechee River and Sterling Creek, less than 3 miles southeast of Richmond Hill, Georgia.

In October and December of 1998, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted an intensive archeological survey and site testing of a 18.8 km (11. 7 mi) long corridor for the proposed widening and rerouting of a portion of State Route 72, in Madison and Elbert Counties, Georgia.

From May through June 1998, a cultural resource survey was conducted on the Oconee National Forest in Jasper County, Georgia by R.S. Webb and Associates. Approximately 1086 acres were surveyed prior to the West 11 timber sale. Thirty new archeological sites were identified.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is proposing to widen U.S. Highway 23 (also known as State Route 87) from northeast of Eastman in Dodge County north westward to just past the Bleckly County line, a distance of 17.2 km (10.7 mi).

This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey of the proposed routing of a four-lane divided highway on new location that would connect U. S. Highway 27 North of LaGrange to the existing interchange of Interstate Highways 85 and 185, east of LaGrange.

From 28 September to 2 October 1998, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted an archaeological survey of a proposed 14 kilometer (8.7 mile) long and approximately 80 meter (240 foot) wide improvement corridor along State Route 24 (SR 24) in Putnam County, Georgia.

Georgia Department of Transportation Project PFH-40(1) in Habersham County proposes to widen, reconstruct, and pave CR 240/1-ow Gap Road from CR 245/New Liberty Road to the Rabun County Line.
