Report Abstracts

The report that follows describes a survey of the potential area of effect surrounding a proposed multi-use trail in Milledgeville Georgia, its findings, conclusions, and recommendations. No archaeological resources were found during the reconnaissance level survey.

A cultural resources survey, consisting of both archaeological and architectural assessments, was accomplished for the proposed Weaver-Youngcane Transmission Line in Union County, Georgia.

Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC) proposes to construct the 17-mile long Baker Highway - Langboard 1 15/25 kV Transmission Line, which will begin south of the city of Douglas in Coffee County, Georgia and terminate south of Willacoochee in Atkinson County, Georgia, and the College Avenue Sub

In 1998, the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Owens-Thomas House contracted Brockington and Associates, Inc., to catalog and to analyze the ceramics from the 1992 Coastal Georgia Archaeological Society (CGAS) excavations on the property of the Owens-Thomas House, Savannah, Georgia.

Archaeological excavations at the Brasstown Valley sites (9To44, 9To45, and 9To49) yielded information on Archaic, Woodland, Mississippian, and Cherokee occupations of the Georgia Blue Ridge.

On March 1, 2000, Southeastern Archeological Services (SAS) conducted an intensive archeological survey for the proposed replacement of the S.R. 19 bridge over Ochwalkee Creek, in Wheeler County, Georgia.

On February 23, 2000, Southeastern Archeological Services (SAS) conducted an intensive archeological survey for the proposed replacement of the S.R. 49 bridge over Commissioner Creek, in northeastern Jones County, Georgia.

On February 16, 2000, Southeastern Archeological Services (SAS) conducted an intensive archeological survey for the proposed replacement of the S.R. 155 bridge over Troublesome Creek, in northeastern Spalding County, Georgia.

In January 2000, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., (SAS) conducted an intensive archeological survey of a 1.5 km (0.9 mi) long corridor for the S.R. 120/Abbotts Bridge Road at Jones Bridge Road Safety Improvement Project in northern Fulton County, Georgia.
