On June 7, 1999, TRC Garrow Associates carried out an archaeological survey in Columbus, Georgia, on a tract to be affected by a road construction project at the intersection of Wynnton Road, Peacock Avenue, and Brown Avenue.

1952 Braley, Chad O. An Archaeological Survey of Bellwood Road, Gordon County, Georgia

In January of 2000 a 1.5 km (0.9 mi) stretch of Bellwood Road in Calhoun, Georgia was surveyed for archeological sites. Gordon County plans to improve this site of the road by symmetrically widening the southern half, and rerouting the northern half on new location.
