The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) wishes to replace the bridges over Indian Creek and the Satilla River on State Route 135 in Coffee County (Figure 1).

A cultural resources survey of the bridge crossing of Fish Creek on SR 182/Bethlehem Road in Polk County, Georgia, was conducted by New South Associates May 28, 2001. A 1,000 foot approach with a 400 foot wide right-of-way was studied on each side of the bridge.

In March 2001, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Briarwood Road Bridge Replacement in DeKalb County, Georgia (Project No. BRZLB-89[6]; P.I. No. 771170; HP #010404-008).

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has proposed a project to widen US 80/SR 26 from just west of Bull River to just east of Lazaretto Creek in Chatham County, Georgia.

Cypress Cultural Consultants conducted a 44.7 acre survey for the City ofGrovetown in order to locate cultural resources eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Current plans for the tract involves the development of a greenway and trail system.
