In May, 2001 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted a Phase I archeological survey of proposed improvements to the intersection of S.R. 53 and Etowah River Road in southern Dawson County.

The Game Management Section of the Wildlife Resources Division of Georgia DNR proposes to construct a small parking area off Wynn Shoals Road near the northern boundary of the Wilson Shoals Management Area (Figure 1) in Banks County.

DNR recently acquired through purchase or easement contiguous parcels of land (Figure 1) sufficient to construct a foot trail between Cloudland Canyon State Park in Dade County and Lula Lake, in Walker County.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) was requested to conduct a reconnaissance survey of approximately 220 acres of partially developed land known as the Brezina Tract. The survey area is located on the northern side of Sandy Creek in southern Greene County.

A cultural resources survey of the proposed Tiger Creek Power Facility construction areas in Washington County, Georgia, was conducted by New South Associates August 9 and 10, 2001. The survey areas (25 total acres) included the power plant footprint and the plant access road.

TRC Garrow Associates, Inc. (TRC) conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey during the week of August 6, 2001 for the proposed SkyGen Augusta Power Plant and associated facilities.

From 25 June through 29 June 2001, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an archaeological resources survey for a proposed transmission line running generally north, from Stage Coach Road near Raccoon Creek, to its terminus just east of U.S.

Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted a comprehensive cultural resources investigation of the two proposed DENA Murray Energy Facility substation tracts, southeast of Dalton, Georgia.

An intensive archaeological resources survey was carried out for the proposed Arlington to Crestview Transmission Line and Substation in Early and Baker counties, Georgia.
