The project is located approximately seven miles north of Fitzgerald, Georgia. The project would begin approximately 900 feet southeast of Little House Creek, and end approximately 1,150 feet northwest of Little House Creek. The project would be approximately 2,050 feet long (0.39 mile).

The proposed project would consist of the realignment of the intersection of Hillandale Dr. and Fairington Rd. in DeKalb Co. approximately 250 ft north of 1-20 to improve safety and operational efficiency of the intersection.

Proposed intersection improvements include adding a left turn lane from northbound Crabapple Road onto Chaffin Road and installing traffic signals. Five feet will be reserved for installing sidewalks, curbs and gutters on both sides of Crabapple and Chaffin Roads.

CSSTP-0006-00(668) would construct a 10 space Ride-Share parking lot at the CR 243/US 319 intersection west of the city of Wrightsville, Georgia. In addition, a temporary easement on the north side of CR 243 would be required for slope construction and fencing.

Original: The proposed bridge would be constructed on existing alignment and be 160 ft long and 40 ft wide to accommodate two 12-ft wide travel lanes and 8-ft paved shoulders. The bridge would be longer than specified in the initial concept report (120 ft) due to engineering refinements.

STP-018-1(56) would widen and reconstruct part of SR 61/SR 113 in Bartow County, Georgia. BRF-0181(44) would replace the bridge over the Etowah River. Both projects have been extensively surveyed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. in 1994.

The proposed project would install curb cuts or wheelchair ramps at 62 different locations within the city of Wrightsville, Georgia. The ramps will be installed along state routes 15, 31, 57, and 78/US 319. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way.
