Report Abstracts

In the winter of 2005, Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. of Waverly Hall, Georgia conducted a reconnaissance survey for early industrial archaeological sites within the Snake Creek Gorge of Carroll County, Georgia.

This project serves as an addendum to two previous archaeological resources survey conducted in advance of a proposed bridge replacement where SR 154 crosses Bear Creek (Gardner and Jenkins 2003; Sweeney 2006).

The proposed project would upgrade pedestrian facilities at seven locations throughout District 6.

The proposed project consists of the widening of 15 cross streets and construction of three cul-de-sacs associated with the widening of US 27 between Auburn and Whitesville Streets.

CSSTP-0007-00(671) would consist of the upgrade of existing signal equipment and the installation of pedestrian accommodations that may include ADA compliant ramps, crosswalks, and pedestrian signal heads at 9 previously signalized intersections (see attached location map and a list of intcrsecti

The proposed project would improve the intersection of Chapel Hill Road at Central Church Road, Bomar Road and Chapel Hill Road at Willow Ridge Road in Douglas County. At the intersection of Chapel Hill Road and Willow Ridge Road, a new signal controller would be installed.

The project consists of reconstructing the existing signalization at eleven intersection locations in the City of Gainesville. Hall County (list attached). Signal mast arms, poles, ramps/crosswalks. controller cabinets, and fiber optic interconnections would be included.

The proposed project consists of traffic signal upgrades at 19 intersections in Houston County, Georgia. The proposed project is designed to improve the overall efficiency and safety of traffic flow, utilizing upgraded traffic signal displays and traffic signal control equipment.

This project is an addendum to the original project completed in 2000.

PBS&J plans to construct pedestrian improvements along Buford Highway beginning at the Fulton-Dekalb County line and extending northeast along the highway, ending at the intersection with Shallowford Terrace.
