The proposed project would consist of the widening and reconstruction of SR 204 SPUR/Whitfield Avenue from Old Whitfield Road to Ferguson Avenue for a total distance of 2.3 miles (see attached location map). The existing roadway consists of two 12-foot lanes with shoulders.

The proposed project involves the widening of northbound 1-75, for an auxiliary lane, and overlay of the existing three-lane section in Henry County. The widening of 1-75 includes the addition of a 12-foot auxiliary lane and a 12 to 14-foot paved shoulder.

The proposed project would consist of the widening of the SR 135 bypass corridor from a twolane roadway (one travel lane in each direction) to a four-lane roadway (two travel lanes in each direction) on the south side of Douglas, Coffee County.

The emergency repair/action consisted of contractors for the Cobb County DOT installing Gabion Baskets and rebuilding the bridge abutments. Gabion Baskets consist of medium sized stones stacked and bundled in metal fencing.
