The proposed project would restore the eastern bridge foundation and stabilize the embankment, which resulted from washouts during the flood event in September 2009.

During April and May 2010, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Lower Roswell Sidewalks in the Gold Branch Unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA).

A Phase I cultural resources survey of the proposed Waycross-Ware County Airport Expansion Site in Ware County, Georgia, was conducted to locate and identify cultural resources within the project area, and to assess resource significance.

The proposed project consists of the widening of westbound Barrett Parkway to allow for an eight-foot raised median and the construction of an exclusive westbound lane from the 1-575 southbound exit ramp to the Mall Boulevard intersection.
