These three projects involved emergency repairs to roadway sections or damaged by floods. Specific tasks are described below: PI 0010053 (Redan Road): Replaced a 24-inch culvert; rebuilt a section of roadway, built a new catch basin and retaining wall, and added rip-rap.

5918 Koch, Christopher P. Liberty Road Bridge at Crawfish Creek Emergency Repairs

This project consisted of the emergency repair of the flood damaged bridge on Liberty Road over Crawfish Creek (Figure 1). Major scouring occurred under the bridge and portions of rip rap and the endrow were washed out on both the east and west ends of the bridge.

The proposed project involves replacement of the existing culvert located at the crossing of Cascade Road over Niskey Creek, and road repair associated with the replacement. The proposed project is located approximately 2 mites west of 1-285 on Cascade Road, immediately west of Wilson Mill Road.

5922 Koch, Christopher P. Club Drive Emergency Bridge Repair

Storms exceeding the 300-year flood caused excessive damage to the eastern end of the bridge located on Club Drive over Sweetwater Creek. Washout and scour occurred at the eastern abutment, which damage the end wall, gabions, and a portion of the deck.

This project consists of the emergency repairs to the north side of the bridge (ID # 135-0068-0) over the Yellow River on Lawrenceville Suwanee Road. Significant scour had occurred along the north abutment wall under the bridge.

5924 Gresham, Thomas H. Signal Upgrades at Nineteen Insections in the City of Atlanta

The project consists of upgrades and improvements at 19 intersections in downtown Atlanta. Improvements include curb cuts/ADA ramps, new crosswalk striping, and replacing controller cabinets, pull boxes, poles and signalization equipment.
