Report Abstracts

This report presents the preliminary results of an archaeological survey of historic and prehistoric sites in proposed Multiple Purpose Structure No. 98, Sallacoa Creek Area Watershed, Gordon County, Georgia.

This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey performed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. in north-central Pulaski County, where the Georgia Transmission Corporation wishes to construct the proposed North Hawkinsville 115/25 kV Substation.

This cultural resources investigation sought to identify archaeological sites present along a number of proposed links for the Eisenhower Parkway Freeway Extension.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans to replace the bridges on State Road (SR) 225 over New Town Creek and the Coosawattee River, as well as realign the road from the New Echota Historic Site entrance to just east of County Road 125/McDaniel Road in Gordon County.

The project proposed would replace Bridge 085-0001-0 over the Etowah River 6 feet to the west of the existing alignment. This calls for the construction of the new bridge while maintaining one lane of traffic on the existing bridge through the use of a temporary signal.

The Georgia Department of Transportation proposes to replace the structurally deficient bridge carrying State Route (SR) 36 over the Yellow River in southern Newton County; the bridge is located approximately 10 miles south of the City of Covington.

This project consists of 4.361 miles of widening on SR 87/Cochran Bypass. The existing typical roadway section for SR 87/Cochran By-Pass consists of two 12-foot asphalt concrete travel lanes with 8- foot rural shoulders. Existing right-of-way is 130 feet.

GT Hill Planners Corporation conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey for the proposed McIntosh Road bridge replacement over the Flint River in Spalding and Fayette Counties on behalf of Kennedy Engineering Associates.

The APE for the project includes everything within the proposed construction project length along Robert B. Miller Road and Gulfstream Road, and within the maximum extent of the existing and proposed tight-of-way as described on the attached sheet.
