Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. has completed a cultural resources survey of the Town Creek Timber Sale Project in the Oconee National Forest Oconee Ranger District. This project consists of a cultural resources survey of 826 acres of land in Greene County, Georgia.

Implementation of the proposed project would result in a finding of No Adverse Effect for archaeological site 9DO2. No right-of-way or easements would be required from within the site’s National Register eligible boundary as all construction work would occur outside this limit.

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the federal undertaking at the subject site.

This project includes an approximately 7 mile section of SR 26 in Chatham County, beginning at the pavement joint that is 1,990 feet (ft.) west of Coleman Blvd. and ending at the pavement joint 800 ft. east of the railroad tracks (MP 5.954 to MP 12.956).

The proposed project consists of maintenance and minor repair on SR 71 from Waring to Cohutta, Georgia. The project includes milling, resurfacing, loop detectors, rumble strips, raised pavement markers, striping, removal/disposal of asphalt, and curb cuts.

The proposed safety project would consist of a bridge foundation inspection of GDOT Bridge ID#139-5085-0 located at SR 347/Friendship Road over Norfolk Southern #717815K. The process would consist of drilling 4-inch holes through the bridge deck and into the ground.

The proposed project consists of maintenance and minor repair on SR 14 from West Point to LaGrange, Georgia. The project includes milling, resurfacing, striping, leveling, patching, and curb cuts. There are 7 curb cut (wheelchair) ramps to be constructed.

The proposed project will repair a section of failed roadway and washed out grass shoulder.

The proposed project is located approximately 5.7 miles northwest of Screven in Wayne County, Georgia.

The proposed project would replace the structurally deficient bridge on SR 17 /SR 75 over the Hiawassee River, 6.5 miles south of Hiawassee, Georgia.
