Report Abstracts

This is a brief archeological assessment of the above referenced projects. As described by GDOT concept reports, the projects are minor, and consist of adding new traffic signals, pedestrian signals and adding crosswalks and raised pedestrian islands to both intersections.

Project F-012-1 (29) Floyd County is located at the Cabin Creek crossing State Route 20 west of Rome, Georgia near Central of Georgia Railroad crossing.

The proposed project would consist of the widening of Abernathy Road from State Route (SR) 9 (Roswell Road) to SR 400. The project includes the addition of one travel lane and a bike lane in each direction with a twenty-foot median.

This report presents the results of a Phase I archeological survey of two alternative routes of a proposed distribution line performed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc.
