Report Abstracts

This report presents the results of a cultural resource assessment survey (CRAS) of the proposed cell tower location in Pierce County, Georgia. The project was performed at the request of Ellis and Associates, Inc., of Jacksonville, Florida.

New South Associates conducted a cultural resources survey of 190 acres in southwest Talbot County along its border with Harris and Muscogee Counties from August 7th to August 16, 2000. This tract of land is owned by Mead Paper Company and is part of a large commercial pine plantation.

An intensive archaeological resources survey was carried out for the Georgia Transmission Corporation's proposed Gunn Road Substation in Peach County, Georgia.

TRC Garrow Associates was contracted by Level (3) to carry out a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed fiber optic cable line that extends from the Georgia-Florida border in Charlton County, Georgia, to downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

The historic resources survey of the proposed West Georgia Reservoir in Haralson County, Georgia, was conducted by Garrow & Associates, Inc., under contract to CH2M Hill.

Enclosed are several site maps that illustrate the proper site boundaries for archaeological sites investigated during TRC Garrow Associates' Phase II study of 117 sites within the floodpool of the proposed West Georgia Reservoir.

During the week of September 14, 1998, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted background research and a field reconnaissance on the block in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, where the Atlanta Police Headquarters is located.

On April 12, 1999, New South Associates conducted a Phase I archeological survey of the proposed 106 acre Chicopee Woods golf course extension project for Rochester and Associates.

During July 2007, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed replacement of the SR 216 Bridge over Carter Creek in Randolph County, Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Transportation proposes to construct improvements on two interchanges on Interstate 75 in Lowndes County, Georgia. This will entail rerouting the on and off ramps, as well as replacing the bridges, widening the approach roads, and upgrading the intersections.
