The Oconee Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests is considering trading away 137 acres in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. This is an isolated tract of land that is over five kilometers from the nearest Forest land, and it is therefore hard to manage.

The proposed project would widen and reconstruct US 341/SR 27 from the eastern city limits of Surrency to the western city limits of Odum in Appling and Wayne Counties. Existing right-of-way along US 341/SR 27 is approximately 100 feet.

Project STP-073-2(7) would consist of widening and reconstructing SR 15. The proposed project would begin at CR 531/Red Oak Road and would terminate at CR 417/Hokie Floyd Road. The total length of the project is 2.86 miles. The existing right-of-way is 100 feet.

This is the widening of S.R. 4 from just south of the U.S. 1/U.S. 341 intersection (Park Avenue) in Baxley to just north of Sambo Street, a distance of 1.14 miles. A 100 foot corridor center about the existing centerline was surveyed for the project length.
