Report Abstracts

This report summarizes the results of archeological data recovery at a prehistoric site located on the outskirts of the town of Ellijay, Georgia. Ellijay is the county seat of Gilmer County, located approximately 50 mi north of Atlanta.

The archaeological survey of the 62 acre proposed City of Adairsville Recreation Area was conducted in July, 1987. The northern Bartow County tract was surveyed through screened shovel testing on a 40 m interval and through surface reconnaissance.

Resource Inventory II investigations were conducted during February, 1989 for two tracts facing potential development at Plant Yates, Coweta County, Georgia.

This report documents the results of the cultural resources survey of the proposed South Griffin-Double Cabins 115 kV Transmission Line, Spalding County, Georgia, for Oglethorpe Power Corporation. One isolated find was recorded.

During August and November of 1987. Robert S. Webb conducted a cultural resource survey of Oglethorpe Power Corporation's (OPC) proposed Cedar Rock - Warrenton transmission line corridor and Cedar Rock substation site. The proposed project area is in Warren County, Georgia, near Warrenton.
