The cultural resources survey of the proposed Fitzgerald Primary to Swakers substation transmission line located four historic sites and two artifact occurrences. None of the sites are considered eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Anthony Shoals site (9Ws5l) is located in Wilkes County of northeast Georgia at the backwaters of Clarks Hill Lake. Test excavations were conducted there in September 1987 to evaluate the impacts caused by looters and to ascertain whether portions of the site were still intact.

An intensive cultural resources survey of Oglethorpe Power corporation's proposed 5.1 km (3.2 mi) Huntsville-Battlefield transmission line and 1.8 ha (4.5 ac) Battlefield substation resulted in the discovery of six archeological sites. A historic structure was also documented.
