During the first two weeks of December, 1986 a preliminary archaeological investigation was conducted in the Gum Swamp Creek Watershed.

The methods and results of an archaeological assessment of the proposed 81 hectare lake impoundment area along Gum Creek in the Big Lazer Creek Wildlife Management Area are presented.

Archeological investigations were carried out at two sites located within the Big Lazer Creek Wildlife Management Area that were previously recommended eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places at a local level of significance.

On 2-3 June 1986, Mr. David L. McCullough, Archeologist, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, conducted a cultural resource survey at a 24 acre disposal tract in Chattahoochee County, Georgia.

At the Cherry Point Prehistoric Site (9CM187) and the Cherry Point Historic Site (9CM196), Camden County, Georgia, five selected areas were stripped of topsoil by bulldozer to expose submidden features.

The purpose of this report is to present the findings of a recently conducted archeological reconnaissance survey on the U.S. Navy's Trident Submarine facility located at Kings Bay, Georgia (Figure 1).

This report details the methods, results, and conclusions of limited testing at the Keheley Site (9CO153) in northern Cobb County, Georgia. The investigation was carried out by Garrow & Associates, Inc. on the 19th and 22nd of December, 1986, at the request of Cobb County.

The government owned lands surrounding Allatoona Lake were intensively surveyed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. Approximately 32,141 ac (13,013 ha) were examined and 1,063 historic and prehistoric sites were discovered and evaluated.

On June 26, 1983, Robert S. Webb and Robert J. Hunter of Claude Terry & Associates, Inc. (CTA) conducted a 100 percent cultural resource survey of Oglethorpe Power Corporation's proposed Bernhard Road substation site in Fayette County, Georgia.

Bridges form one of the most important and tangible features of the highway transportation system. The combined road systems of Georgia accommodate over 14,500 bridges.
