The project proposes to construct a connector street from Hewatt Road to Britt Drive in order to provide access to property owners and remove commercial traffic from US 78.

The project proposes to widen Covington Highway/US 278/SR 12 from a four-lane section to a five-lane section from DeKalb Medical Parkway to Cragstone Court. The roadway would receive two through lanes in each direction and a center bi-directional left turn lane.

The proposed project is located along Glenwood Road in DeKaIb County from 620 feet east of Candler Road/SR 155 (MP 3.64) to Covington Highway/US 278/SR 12 (MP 7.62).

The proposed project would consist of the addition of 4.5-foot bike lanes along both sides of Main Street/North Stone Mountain Lithonia Road between Rockbridge Road and Mountain Street in the City of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Project limits have increased by approximately 267 feet (0.05 mile). The previous limits included approximately 1,762 feet along Sandy Springs Circle and 1,507 feet on Hammond Drive, for a total project length of approximately 3,269 feet (0.62 mile).

Description from December 21, 2006 PCE: The proposed project would extend approximately 480 feet north and approximately 570 feet south of the SR 20/Sigman Road and Eastview Road intersection on SR 20/Sigman Road.

The proposed project has been revised based upon design refinements for shoulders, drainage, and driveways. New areas of right-of-way and easement have been added to the proposed project, and some areas that were previously proposed as right-of-way have been converted to permanent easement.

The proposed will improve a total of approximately 1 mile of SR 133 from 25th Street (Colquitt County Mile Post 14.3) to Regency Village (Colquitt County Mile Post 13.6) including realigning Old Adel Road and S.E. 5th Avenue.

The northern limit of NHS-0001-00(917) has been extended north on Lee Road in order to better transition the interchange widening project back into Lee Road. The proposed project change would be to extend the northern limit of the project on Lee Road approximately 900 feet north of Vulcan Drive.
