In order to comply with federal regulations governing the disposition of cultural resources (National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, Executive Order 11593, and the Archeological and Historic Preservation Act of 1974) the U.S.

A cultural resources survey was conducted on 5.1 miles of right-of-way which faces potential impact by the widening of the existing Macon levee, Bibb County, Georgia.

In July of 1992, Southeastern Archeological Services conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of a 0.2 ha tract for a proposed substation and 3.2 km (2.0 mi) of proposed transmission line corridor. The project is in Floyd County, about 12 km northeast of Rome.

The conclusions in this report are based on shovel test data and historical research conducted in the Martin Luther King, Jr. and Altama road widening corridors in Brunswick, Georgia in March, 1992.
