Intensive archaeological testing and limited excavations of the Woodrow Wilson Boyhood Home (9RI432) in Augusta, Georgia from fall 1991-spring 1993 resulted in the discovery of significant intact deposits located under the attached servants' quarters associated with the early decades of home occu

Wehadkee Farm raises Beefmaster cattle on 400 ac of land in extreme western Heard County, Georgia. The farm is only 1 km east of the Alabama state line. The county seat, Franklin, lies 15 km (kilometers) to the northeast.

An intensive archeological survey of a portion of the US Army's Ranger Training Facility' Camp Frank D. Merrill was conducted. Two prehistoric archeological sites (one Woodland and one Middle Archaic) were found in an area where the Army proposes to construct six new planning bays.

During June, 1993 site 9DA354 on the campus of Emory University was surveyed and tested archaeologically. Limited excavations were only one part of the Dig It! Archaeology Workshop for children sponsored by the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Art and Archaeology.

In September and October of 1993 Southern Research conducted an initial survey and testing phase at the Archibald Smith Plantation Home in Roswell, Georgia. Archibald Smith was one of the founding Roswell families that moved from the Georgia coast with Roswell King, Sr.

A brief, three day reconnaissance of archaeological sites in an area near the headwaters of Barfield Creek, Taylor County, Georgia, was conducted in March of 1989. Primary attention was paid to an area in Taylor County east of Barfield Creek and south of U. S. Highway 80.

Vertebrate faunal remains excavated in 1970 by Donald L. Crusoe and Chester B. DePratter from the Stallings Island site (9Col) were examined. The site is located in the Savannah River Valley, above the Fall Line.

Vertebrate remains from a large fire/refuse pit from the Hartford site (9Pu1) were studied. This Early/Middle Swift Creek feature was found on the upper Atlantic coastal plain of Georgia in a complex containing a village and at least one mound.

This report summarizes the results of an archaeological survey at two RC&D project locations in Bryan and Liberty Counties, (Figure 1).

This report presents the results of a survey for archaeological and historical sites located within the project boundaries of Multiple Purpose Structure 9M in the Cedar Creek Watershed, Coweta County, Georgia (Figure 1).
