Report Abstracts

This study is an archival resources survey conducted for the Section 106 permitting process. It is designed to elicit data concerning the area to be impacted by the development of a marina and boat storage area by Brunswick Landing Marina Inc.

From 9 March to 13 March 1992, archaeologists from Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted an archaeological survey of the 8.3 mile Alternative H of the Jimmy DeLoach Parkway in Chatham County, Georgia.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. of Athens, Georgia, conducted a high probability reconnaissance level cultural resources survey of 1389 ha (3433 ac) in the Oconee National Forest, Georgia, for the U.S. Forest Service.

The goal of my ten week internship at Wormsloe Historic Site was to conduct a surface survey, to map and identify any archaeologically significant features that may have been associated with the Noble Jones occupation of the Skidaway Narrows area on the Isle of Hope.

In January, 1992, New South Associates conducted a Phase 1 cultural resources survey of the approximately 0.5 mile Haynes Bridge road widening project for Post, Buckley, Schuh and Jernigan. The road widening is restricted to the south of the intersection of Haynes Bridge and Highway 400.

On May 6, 1992 New South Associates conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey on 3.2 miles of the Duluth Bypass - Section One project corridor in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The purpose of this pedestrian survey was to locate all cultural resources along the project corridor.

This report documents the results of a cultural resources survey of the proposed Chase Road Substation, located in Habersham County, Georgia. This survey was conducted by Garrow & Associates, Inc., Atlanta for Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Tucker, Georgia.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted an intensive surface and subsurface cultural resources survey in May 1991, on the 42 ha (104 ac) Davenport Drop Zone in north-central Fannin County, Georgia.

Oglethorpe Power Corporation (OPC) is requesting clearance to widen the existing Dawson to Parrott transmission line right-of-way (ROW) from the existing 50 feet to 75 and 100 feet. The project is located entirely within Terrell County, Georgia.
